Simplify my... electricity supply

Today I simplified my electricity supply by switching suppliers. There are now three electricity suppliers in my country instead of the old monopoly, so I took advantage and filled out the form to transfer supplier. I chose the particular company for three reasons: they produce energy from windfarms so they are environmentally friendly; they are as cheap or cheaper than the other two companies; and they have an automatic billing facility where they estimate a household's energy use over the year and bill it in twelve equal amounts. (I thought that this would help with budgeting. If I ever actually create a budget.) I also set up the billing method so the bills come by email (uses less paper) and the bills are paid by direct debit (less hassle).

Eventually I'd like to be off-grid entirely, but one step at a time! :)
